FashionPlaytes

Launching in late 2009, FashionPlaytes is an online “design it yourself” fashion retailer for girls 5-12. The company has been building a successful personal design lifestyle brand while enabling girls to pursue their creativity and individuality through fashion. FashionPlaytes lies at the intersection of the hottest trends in the market place: customization, online gaming and fashion. The website enables girls to play, chat, design their own clothes, share their designs and then purchase them. They provide young girls with a platform to bring their fashion designs from the virtual world to reality, bringing an otherwise expensive and inaccessible process to the mass market at a reasonable price with exceptional quality.

designRACY started working with FashionPlaytes to help rebrand the company and redesign the website. After an intensive discovery phase, we discovered that there were many other pieces that needed attention such as the products themselves. We quickly jumped in and began working on clothing graphics, advertisements, direct mail campaigns, and all of the promotional pieces that needed to go along with the website. At the same time, we spent over three months working with their development team, gamification experts, and stakeholders to design the new website and brand for the company. The site just recently launched in April of 2011, and we continue to work with FashionPlaytes on the design of their upcoming collections and advertising campaigns.
