Spnkix
When Peter Treadway first came to us with his new invention, it was quite the experience. Having spent over eight years developing the product, Peter designed and produced the first pair of motorized boots. With speeds of over 15 mph and being controlled by remote, this was clearly something special. His new product was to be called Treadways, after his name. We signed onto the job, and began the discovery phase to determine how the product should hit the market, and what exactly that market was. Years ago, fashion and mobility might have been considered separate entities that didn’t have much to do with each other. Today, it is more important than ever to integrate these, and this is the stance that we took.
The first step was set the mood and determine the demographic. We saw the product primarily being used by 18-25 year olds. With this in mind, we had to change the name to something that resonates with this age group : Spinkicks. With much experimentation, hard work, and a photoshoot to kick it all off, we have refined the product into what it is today. Spnkix: a product that is able to transform from walking to gliding so seamlessly, it makes everyday life feel like it’s taking place in a fluid dream. After naming the product, designing the brand, and photographing it in action, it didn’t take long for it to catch on. Maxim Magazine featured the product online and the response has been overwhelming.
